Alumni Spotlight: On the Radio
Interstudy Alumni come from around the country – from big schools in big cities to small schools in even smaller towns. Enrolling directly at a university abroad through Interstudy means that our students can also study a wide range of disciplines – from engineering to the arts, and everything in between.
One Interstudy Alum, Nicholas Petricca, a graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, OH, has been making waves since his semester at Goldsmiths, University of London….radio waves.
Nicholas’ band, Walk the Moon, has been making a name for themselves starting with their first hit, “Anna Sun“, which is guaranteed to be heard on local radio stations in the Boston area, and likely around the on a radio station near you. The song was also named among the likes of the Beastie Boys, Ben Harper, and the Gorillaz as one of the official “Songs of Summer, 2011” by Esquire.
Nicholas was able to continue to study Music during his semester abroad at Goldsmiths in London alongside host country students at the university. Some courses to look out for at Goldsmiths include:
MU52020A: Music Community Identity
MU52043A: Songwriting
MU52025A: Music Technology & Production
